Courtney:
Colors will be up tomorrow. My computer decided to force me to upgrade to Windows 8.1 which not only took way too long but also messed up my pen’s pressure sensitivity for a while. Seriously, it just fixed itself randomly.
I’ve also been working on something cool for the comic when I’m not doing new pages. Stay tuned; I’ll tell you about it when I’m done!
Ugh, sorry to hear about the update. Mine did the same thing about a month ago. Hopefully it didn’t mess anything up TOO bad.
I’ve never done an important thing either, Slice. :’D
And I like that Floyd bothered to put a smiley face on his sign. Non-aggressive “go away”.
I had to reinstall a couple things but nothing major. It was just an annoyance I really didn’t need at that particular time when it said “hey, we’re gonna update your system in fifteen minutes whether you like it or not.”
(By the way, that’s Cammy next to Floyd! It’s easier to tell now with color.)
Yeah, don’t you love it when they give you like a 10 minute heads up?
..and oh my god it is. How did I miss that?!
Like how differently Floyd and Slice see work. For Slice, it’s like he’s sleeping peacefully in a warm bed until Ecta jumps in and says “Get up its time for a suicidal mission that will indeed get you killed!” and Slice just floats smiling and says “OKAY!”
Floyd, on the other hand, only needs to see Ecta to have a bad day.
I don’t think Slice would get excited about a suicide mission, but I’m not sure he knows what the word suicide means. Of course the “get you killed” part would give it away.
Davis ends up taking the brunt of Ecta’s Ecta-ness later on, and he actually enjoys it as well as sassing back. It’s a pretty good dynamic for the team, but we wanted to show how things used to be before he was around…
Yar, tis why one of the reasons I bought a Windows 7 computer.
I’m enjoying the faces in these last few pages!
I also enjoy the ‘I’m not a robot’ checkbox. Words captcha was fun to talk about, number captcha I always got wrong for some reason. Maybe I should log into that account one of these times.
Still gotta complete a word captcha if the reCAPTCHA isn’t convinced, though. This new version of reCAPTCHA that they’ve been rolling out is meant to be more useful to humans and less forgiving to bots.
…Of course, as I said, if the reCAPTCHA isn’t convinced, whatever is posting the comment has to undergo a word captcha, which can also time out. In fact, I had to go through the word captcha just to post this comment!
Ok the “I’m not a robot” thing was just not convinced about me and it made me… not complete a word captcha… but select pictures of bread among pictures of other food. I had a crisis like “is this hamburger bread?! It has bread ON it…” but it counted, I was right.
Poor robots, they don’t know about bread.
That is horrible! Robots are missing out on what is quite possibly the best thing to ever happen to humans!
True that. They say man cannot live on bread alone, but I’m pretty sure I could.
Really not the best hiding spot, Floyd.
Eh, it’s the best he could do. Unlike Davis, he can’t fit in a drawer.
That girl in panel 1 seems to have a crush on Floyd. There was also a girl in the last chapter that immediately gave him her phone number, so I guess Floyd is a hit with the ladies.
This is an accurate guess.
Too bad she can’t see through the card, otherwise she might have gone away. Unless it is on both sides, not like she would care…
I have managed to elude windows 8.1 on my laptop to this day, mostly by turning of updates and never shutting it down. It is dying anyway…
He wrote it on both sides because he didn’t know which way she might peek in from.
Am I the only one who realizes that there’s a perfectly good under-bed that no one has told Davis about? I’m sure he’d love to hide from Ecta in this way at the very least.
Oh well, him sleeping in a drawer is really cute at least.
Goodness, you’re right! Demons come from caves, so he’d probably feel right at home. Maybe they forgot about it, or Ecta demanded that Skarvs have minion under-beds permanently sealed off.
