GHOSTS DON’T DIE

Back to regular updates for us now!
Altermentality:
I really love that stick guy even though you can only see him in one panel. He’ll probably be in the next comic. I don’t know what kind of effective guards a leaf and a cherry make but it was totally Victor’s idea.
But can you get out of here… alive?
Poor Ecta doesn’t have a chance!
Oh gods that’s so mean, but so good. Davis would be proud of you for that one.
thats an angry ectoplasm
I think for once her anger is well-deserved. I’d be pretty upset too if someone jabbed a spear through me. Even though she can’t be killed anymore… it’s the thought that counts, and the thought was definitely “stab a lady in the guts.”
Unfortunately of the leaf, he is not a highly trained professional ghost buster.
If I was him, I’d make like a tree and… yeah…
Bugger, someone already used the Mario 64 line. D:
Oh well, I’m reminded of the Deku Palace in Majora’s Mask.
And speaking of Zelda…
SKYWARD SWORD. Do you have it, PJ?
The title of this comic was all me, all me. My little brother and I used to quote that line all the time. One of our many game-related inside jokes that he just thinks I’m a total nerd if I bring up now. D:
OF COURSE. Well, uh, actually… Victor has it and we’re playing it together. I want to get a copy of my own over winter break but I also need the Wii motion plus, which I’ve had no real reason to get before now. Hey, come to think of it, that seems like a perfect thing to ask for for Christmas! But I’m strangely over asking for specific Christmas gifts. I can’t even bring myself to do it anymore.
“I’m Courtney and I’m TOO MATURE for Christmas.”
That cherry’s face: ಠ_ಠ
Man, you have to up the maturity rating on this comic now with poor Ecta getting violated like that…
Yeah, I would have expected him to have more of a cherry demeanor, but his job is really the pits. Ohohohoh!
Poor Ecta. A lot of things make her angry, but one of her utmost hates is when people go through her without her permission. And she never gives permission.
I guess we should explain Ecta’s… texture sometime. She can change her solidity to anything from a completely substance-less apparition (which is how she can go through/possess things), to being something like a cold liquidy jelly (which is how she holds things and interacts with other people).
haha slice in the background is so cute! love him!
Thanks! I love my little flishy. And I’m glad people look at the characters in the background.
and Davis is mad at leafy for angering his friend. :3
Not so much for angering her (that’s inevitable, hell, he likes angering her too) but for trying to stab her, and just when he’s starting to find her very interesting. I mean, if she hadn’t been dead already…
Hmm… Come to that, how does Blank defeat the ghosts in Skärva’s castle? Is his sword appropriately enchanted? Does he have some other item or weapon capable of harming them, or use the environment somehow? Does he evade them? Does he do something else entirely?
(I wonder whether the watchman’s unit thinks him the perfect completion of their company? After all, he’s clearly the cherry on top… ;P)
Victor doesn’t like it when I come up with “comments canon” but we’ve already discussed how ghosts can be manipulated with magic, so I’m going to say that if they can feel any pain or sensations at all it’s through magic. Blank has quite an arsenal of items, some of them magical, that he can use to immobilize and drive away ghosts, and some of the swords he’s had to find (like the Sword of Stabbing) are obviously enchanted with ancient magic which allows them to be the bane of whatever otherwise perfect plan Skärva has concocted. This arc is going to go into a lot more detail than the last one, and I’m sure you’ll see Blank fighting off ghosts, Lurkins, Flish and maybe a certain demon later on.
Pfffffhahaha that’s great. XD I hadn’t even thought of that.
