I need to tell you this: originally I had written that Goldgills simply leaped really high out of the water and landed on the side of the ship, but Victor said that was silly and that he shouldn’t be able to jump that high. “He’s not Free Willy”, in his words- and he told me I should think of something else. I thought it would be hard to come up with an alternate way for him to get up there, and after a moment I joked to Victor that Goldie could hookshot himself up there with his tongue instead. To my massive surprise, he thought that was a great idea. I couldn’t believe that was what he actually wanted, but I love it and hope you do too. Of course, it all makes sense when I consider that Victor was at the forefront of The Fourth being a comedy, and I’M the one who gets caught up in taking things too seriously! Naturally he’d want me to have more fun with it.

As for the rest, you saw this coming, I’m sure. Goldie did too. He just didn’t want to believe it.
