As for me, I’ve been experimenting with color lately. The golden glow of the treasure chamber is just one of the many atmospheric things I plan to try. I’m pretty excited about where my art is going. For comparison, check out the first comic to feature all of these guys! http://thefourthcomic.com/?comic=back-by-popular-demand
Haha Slice is so adorable, Courtney you need to delve into his childhood at some point in time, see how our Slice became…well Slice!
I imagine it was a lot like Elan’s from “Order of the Stick”: “Stop hitting your twin brother in his soft undeveloped baby skull!”
I’d love to delve into everyone’s childhood eventually! Although for Slice, I’m not sure anything “made” him this way, or if it’s just that he’s never changed. We might better ask ourselves what causes most people to lose their sense of wonder.
So technically Slice is the first one to find a key for Skarva’s gods fighting plot. I wonder if the royals realize the importance of that key or they just kept it in collection because it has the symbols of the gods.
Also something tells me if this group was in that cave with the lamp in Alladin, they wouldn’t fare too well.
The princess and Blank didn’t even seem to think it was possible, so I’m leaning toward shiny trinket with the gods’ symbol on it…
They could escape if Ecta possessed a carpet!
I rarely notice it, but I like Ecta’s transparency.
Where are they even going to hide that key while they’re stealing the Princess?
I bet that if Blank ever got into the treasure room, he could use those goblets as bottles, and they wouldn’t be as fragile.
That armband that Floyd nicked is hella sweet.
So, how much would one of those things be in Ides? I mean a generic bit of treasure, not something like a Key.
How could you not notice her transparency? She always says what she means
Depends on the treasure! In general an ide is something like half a US dollar…
Ok: General value on these three items.
Trinket with Smiley Face.
Random Golden Chalice.
Glass Bottle.
Oh, jeez, I ain’t the Antiques Roadshow!
100 ides, 2394 ides, and 3 ides, respectively. And the armband would be 449.99 ides, in case you were wondering.
Shouldn’t they steal more stuff?
So they think that, instead of “HEY! They took the key!”, which would make them KNOW that they were ONLY looking for the key, they think “HEY! They looted our treasury!”, which, though they would probably be more likely to note that the key was missing, they would think it was just evil being evil, not evil being crafty.
That is a good point. I would say that they should do it, but then they would have to deal with Ecta complaining about it the whole way back to Castle Skærva while the princess is listening, giving away the entire plot.
To be fair I don’t know if they have an inventory on this massive pile of stuff. They need a dragon who keeps a loving watch over every piece.
What do you think I am, some kind of evil demon who can’t control himself?
Don’t be ridiculous! I’m just an innocent Lurkin!
You’d think Cyril’s compass would have pointed to the first, being closer and all!
Or is it like any RPG where it forces you to go all the way one way and then all the way back to the other side of the world, making it a lot harder than it should be?
And that is a really cute keychain.
It probably points to the ones that are most annoying to Skärva in descending order. I mean, he goes to the castle fairly often, that would be way too easy!
it probably points to the ones with the easiest enemies, you know so he can level up.
BTW i love the atmosphere and textures ur using. the expression are great too. keep it up!
ectkrst unfaourable. captch doesn’t like ecta much…
Yeah, those pirates were total wimps.
Ahh thank you so much! I’m super excited about where I’m going to take this in the future with some of the locations we have planned.
I doubt Ecta likes Captcha either.
Oh, that actually makes a lot of sense! That was nice of it.
Hopefully that giant key has some sort of use, because I doubt that it’s one of the keys Skarva’s looking for. : P
How could you doubt the key that they decided might possibly be there and fortuitously found after a whole two pages of looking?
It might just be the greed talking, but wouldn’t it be less suspicious if you took more? “They looted the treasure room! Those fools don’t know the true worth of the valuable key they grabbed with the rest of it!” or “Why did they only steal the key? There is only one thing it could be used for and they must know exactly what that is! We know exactly how to stop them!”
Purely hypothetical of course.
Thanks a LOT minions. Way to do the total opposite of obscuring the plan! *flips table*
But seriously, remember that the whole keys-and-portal-to-the-gods thing is far from common knowledge. The Second spent decades piecing it together.
…And probably, no one will even notice the key is gone. It was kinda buried in there in the first place.
True
Ecta = my older sister some days
I almost wonder what it would be like if indenau had a bank like gringotts from Harry potter and what it would have in it for its crazy defences.
