Just in case anybody has forgotten but does not want to do an archive binge, yes, you have seen it. It’s Cyril, the bard. From WAAYYYY back at the start of the princess love potion arc.

Funny how it doesn’t seem that long to me, even though so much has happened since then. In real life, at least. And for them, it was just a few days ago!
It… it was a little more than “just a few days ago”. Time passes weirdly in this comic.

It just feels like more time should have passed, so it did. There are plenty of times when they could have taken a break to plan and such.

This was the best possible twist, and I knew skarva disliked that guy too much for him not to return in some way. Now the question is how is skarva planning to get it from the bard?

The Bard can never be defeated, we readers are too attached to him. He’ll probably end up joining the gang for the sole purpose of leading them to the keys.

I was lurking in your archives, and realized that it has been over a year since we (vague we) have seen both that character and that object around his neck.
Something tells me there’s going to be a very painful arc (for Skarva) about making friends with Cyril.
I want there to be a montage with “So Happy Together” playing in the background, where Cyril is always smiling and Skarva is making his totally unamused squishy face.
It was a compass that necessitated a bard! I guessed right, but just not all in one guess! XD
Yep! And maybe Skärva WILL develop a phobia of compasses after this traumatic experience.
so did you pretty much go through and find the creepiest/silliest face he had and put it there? cause going through the scene wit him id say that that would be spot on. but to be honest i didn’t expect that.
I didn’t have to go back and find it. I had this face in mind as soon as we thought up the idea. XD

Skärva, your upright sharky nose point will never cease to amuse me. He really needs to sleep though. His hair is getting disheveled and evil masterminds can’t have that!

ayyyyyyyy what a twist!! i love it. skarva’s too much of a jerk to everyone, pushing away all these people who could be useful in the longer term.
another great chapter! i really liked the goofy mansion hijinks, it’s fun to watch these characters stumble and struggle all the way to the finish line but still manage to get there.
