Agreeing with kgy…Derk, you’re giving yourself away! D:
…I love the little drawings in his room~ And what a fancy plaque on his door!
…my Monday has somehow ALREADY been bad, but, this always makes me smile.
“not just for big bads anymore”?
Does this imply that Dirk is not a big bad?
Does this further imply that Dirk is a middling, or perhaps even small bad?
… That looks like an awfully easy block puzzle for what seems likely to be the last or a near-to-last level. Push one block and you get into a high-ranking minion’s office? ;P
Anyway, Derk’s door is mislabelled — he’s clearly not a Waddling Head!
I rather like the metal effect on that sign, by the way! ^_^
fantastic interactions in this chapter. i had a blast reading it, i hope you had just as much fun making it.
the third is such a great character thematically, the way he has so accepted the fate the gods thrust upon his family and the way he works to keep the status quo because at least it’s not the worst the gods could do to them. but he ends up as an antagonistic force in the story because of course the fourth would never accept anything less than victory.
derk and lorelei continue to be a delight. i love all her little things around the castle, especially that best friends poster in derk’s office. i love seeing the characters’ relationships play out as the story unfolds.
But he couldn’t have been giving Frozio an interview! He wasn’t wearing the tie!
Also, Blocks say “Push” all the time.
CRAP! The ruse is up!
Snake? SNAAAAKKEE!!!!
!
Derk? DERK? DEEEEERRRRRRK
I wonder how many times Blank has used that same secret passage, hidden only by a simple block puzzle. The “best friend” drawing is adorable.
And he comes out in Derk’s office? That’s a weird way to start a final level.
Nice shot, Derk!
And thus was the great game of Chairpenguin invented.

Aww really? I’m sorry to hear that. But I’m glad we can make it a little better!

Derk is definitely on the big side as far as bads go, but he’s not THE big bad, a title that in Idenau at this time belongs to Skaerva alone.
Loveing the best friends poster in the final panal and all of the expressions.
I wouldn’t be surprised if it was actually Derk that drew it
Maybe he pulled the tie out of one of the desk drawers and we just can’t see it…!
I love that Derk has his own office, that’s awesome.
He also could have magicked it on…. ties say POOF all the time!
Of course! He’s a professional!
LOL that made my day.
dang derk.. teach me your skills plz…. do you think he has any openings??
I dunno, the castle is fully staffed right now, but if you are little and cute enough you can probably weasel your way in!

It probably seemed more clever back when the castle was built!
Y’know, it’s not too much of a stretch to imagine Derk’s head on some feet though. Sometimes he reminds me of Kirby
Again, loving the brushwork. Texture really adds a lot to backgrounds.
Poor Frozio; he’s gotta be seriously confused by now.
Going from a peaceful sleep to being thrown through the air, I would be a bit more than confused…
Ok I’ve just caught up and I’m definitely a fan of this comic now. Basically , expect fanart in the future XD
Oh yay!
Thanks for reading! I’m glad you like it!
