Clearly Skärva doesn’t have a mental block–although it seems that Blank might!
If those three hours were that bad, perhaps Veronika will “blank” them out.
Let’s hope that Skärva doesn’t end up in the world of Broken Sword 3–let alone Sokoban! 0_0
I do object to one thing: block puzzles are not the worst sort of puzzle (to me, at least). Limited-view mazes are worse, for one. Or pretty much any puzzle that involves matching or comparing musical notes (I seem to have a rather poor faculty for that). (I’d include Simon-like challenges, but I’m not sure that those are technically “puzzles”, as such.)
Ooh, that’s really cool! I think that your cartoony style works very well there, especially for a character that seems a little on the “dark” side. The texture is lovely, and I really like the glow in his eyes and mouth. ^_^
Hmm… The top of that page suggests that I should check out this person’s comic…
Did you ever play Chip’s Challenge? It was a popular game on early versions of Windows. If you failed at a level enough times it would just give you a little dialogue box letting you skip to the next. That’s the first instance of such a thing I can remember in a game. It had block puzzles too, I think… and LOTS of slidey ice puzzles. Jeez that freaking MIDI music is burned into my head forever. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTDNECHVtoQ
Welcome back! I hope all is well with you guys! I’d be lying if I said I haven’t been worried, aha…
Blank really knows how to woo the ladies, eh?
And Chapter Zero just keeps getting worse and worse for poor Derk.
It’ll be ok! Things have been kind of bleh but they will get better again.
To be fair, at least Derk is getting out of this part! He should be grateful!
I just love Veronika’s expression in panel five.
Yeah, that was definitely the highlight of drawing this page, for me.
WA-HOO! THE FOURTH IS BACK, BABY!!!
<3
So that’s how you solve those kinds of puzzles. I’m keeping that in mind the next time I’m playing a Zelda game.
Welcome back!
Yep, just push against all the nearby walls! If you don’t find anything, you’re not pushing hard enough! Maybe use some bombs.
It’s good to be back! <3
It’s nice having someone in the party that has experience doing a lot of behind the scenes work.
He’s max leveled in Dungeoneering.
How does one manage to talk about a block puzzle for three hours? Wow.
Hey, you doing better now? It musta been all that concentrated hope I sent. You shoulda seen it, it was the size of a bus. Still hoping, though.
Blank can.
Oops! I narrowly dodged that bus the other day. Next time I see a bus I’ll let it hit me!
Crud, I thought I mighta overshot. But really, don’t hit a bus. It is only bus sized.
But block puzzles were the ones I could actually solve by myself in professor Layton!
YAY NEW COMIC
Oh gosh, same here! Those were my favorite Layton puzzles!
From what little I played, I was really good at anything visual. I need to get back to that series…!
Welcome back indeed! ^_^

Like the tadpoles in Super Mario RPG?
I’ve honestly never played Super Mario RPG. ^^;
(for one thing, I’m primarily a PC gamer–It’s been decades since I last owned a console, as far as I recall.)
What do the tadpoles do?
The tadpoles involve matching AND comparing musical sounds/notes.
I think that it’s fair to guess that I’d dislike them in that case, yes.
SLICE COMBO
I presume that this combo wets and thus slightly inconveniences the enemy.
(SLICE MEGA-COMBO!)
I’ve only played it once, and it’s getting to be a long time ago now. I still listen to the music sometimes though. I liked it, not nearly as much as I like the Paper Mario or Mario & Luigi games, but I’m glad it laid the groundwork. SMRPG does have a shark pirate! http://altermentality.tumblr.com/post/104368775221/jonathan-jones-by-altermentality-my-next-entry

Nah, surely it’s not worth bothering with. ;P
Hey there! Awesome to see that you guys are back!
Y’know which game had the worst block puzzles? Boktai.
They literally had to have little panels that would you let you bypass the puzzle completely if you got stuck, because they were so obtuse.
Thanks! It’s good to be back…
So, what Skarvs is doing here, basically?

Welcome back! Now I can enjoy more Skärvic shenanigans.
Yay! Thanks for coming back!
Welcome back, hope things are going well…
Seems Derk hasn’t been keeping up with the dungeon maintenance tutorials Skarva keeps sending him…
Princess looks undead in fifth panel, and I LOVE IT!!!
