Courtney:
Whew! I underestimated the amount of time this comic’s coloring would take me. But it’s ok, I didn’t mind staying up late, because I had a great soundtrack to keep me company. If you like platformers, don’t mind a challenge and want something that’s an absolute treasure for the eyes and ears, I would highly recommend Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. (Also: there are penguins. Lots of them.)
Fun fact: Donkey Kong Country 2 way back on the SNES is my favorite game of all time. It’s why I like pirates so much. So you can thank or blame that game for this entire arc, really.
PS: Guys! I really like March! Can we get out of this winter already?
His second favorite thing behind water temples, I’m guessing?~ Also, the coloring in this is absolutely amazing, great job.
…but I like winter-
Thank you! It was certainly fun!
I like winter to an extent. It has overstayed its welcome.
Ahah! He looks so HAPPY!
The pirates, not so much?
They’ve been breezing through these challenges and here Mr. Sharkface thinks he’s SOOO SPECIAL because of his kidnapping experience, woo hoo, here have a gold star sir.
This is a really elaborate temple/set of trials. If this was in a game I’d die of happiness.
Me toooo!
“Make a webcomic about the game you’d like to play.” Me and Victor’s philosophy.
I love the orangey look to this strip, and apparently so does Skarva
His orange rage from having to put up with these pirate challenges so far has caught the place on fire.
Kidnapping? Skarva knows all about this… Keeping the kidnapped person? Not so much…
Luckily that wasn’t specified in the challenge description!
Lorelei looks so happy
She’s happy when Mr. Skärva is happy. And is a bit relieved to see him so enthused about this because, after all, he’s been weird these past few days.
She also likes a good kidnapping adventure too! (Ahh, the child is being raised so well…)
Finally! Something he can do! Also, are they going to have to go back through all this on their way out, or is there a back door? Not asking for spoilers (as such), just I hate it when a story gives 1,250 pages to getting to Point B, and then has 1.5 pages getting them back to Point A. I mean, did all those trap doors and thick forests and hordes of cannibals just vanish on their way back? …Sorry, pet peeve here…
there’s probably an “easy” exit, one involving them plummeting from the eye of the giant skull outside which was obviously too smooth to climb, though Skarva could’ve flown in if he didn’t secretly want to go though all the trials…
I totally understand! But at least in this case, the thing that’s really taking them so long is completing the challenges, so going back down wouldn’t be near as hard, or interesting. Although how are they meant to take any treasure back down that climbing segment? There’s probably a secret exit, the old pirate mage seems to have thought this whole thing out pretty well
BUT IT’S ALREADY ON FIRE. How much more damage can you do after that?
I feel you on the winter thing. We’ve missed so much school we have like two Saturday make up days, and this week we’re going to have to stay at school two extra hours to make up for another. :T
Uh… MORE FIRE! YEAH!
It was nice the first day of March but now it’s super cold again. And blah, make-up days! Saturday school?!! I’m sorry! ;_;
WELL HEY. They could graffiti it. Get a little “BLANK SUX” action on those walls.
Eh, it’s nothing I can’t handle.
This is the happiest shark that ever hatched a scheme.
He’s so cute when he’s scheming.
Wa… Was that town burning inside the island underwater this whole time?
So I checked out twitch plays pokemon and had a good chuckle for around twenty minutes watching AJDNNW flail around at the absurd amount of input. This is silly.
Shhh…. Spongebob logic.
Or, not really. The fires magically activated when the door was opened for them. So actually: Jim’s behind it all!
Yeah, it’s fun to check in on from time to time and you might get lucky and catch something exciting. But mostly it’s just kind of… silly, yes
He’s in his element!
